Things Kids Say

A couple years ago I started to write down all the funny things the kids say. Actually, I started a word file and typed all the things they say, but that's neither here nor there. I have added everything from their first mispronounced cute words to funny things or phrases that they say. The goal is to one day, when they are much older, collect them all in a scrap book of sorts including pictures and give it to them as a gift. It is something they can keep forever to remind them of their childhood and share with their children. 

I thought I would share a little one from "Buddy's" file. 

About a year ago the family took a little trip to San Diego. We drove from Arizona and when stopping to get gas at about the half way point, we noticed a large dinosaur statue out front. I turned to "Buddy" and said, "Look Buddy! A dinosaur!"

To which he replied (before even seeing it), "What are we gonna do?!"

We all burst out in laughter. He thought there was a real dinosaur out there and he was ready to come up with a plan of action to get away from it. At five years old, he was fully ready to battle a dinosaur if he had to. He says a lot of really funny stuff, but this is one that I think about often and always makes me laugh.
